got to talking about ole times in Athens. Is there anyone that remembers "Uppies", "Zippy's", "Othos", Charlie Williams, and the "MBI"? (what a place). Folks nowadays can't relate to what is was like in Athens 50 years ago just as I can't remember what it was like when my father was a student at UGa in the late 20s. The great common denominator is that we all love the University of Georgia. My dad attended the Yale game in 1929 for the dedication of Sanford Stadium. He saw Catfish corral "Yale's Blue Boy". I saw the miracle of 1959 (Flinging Fran to Herron) and the flea flicker (Moore to Hodgson to Taylor). I suppose that we all think that our memories are unique and special ... which they are. The important thing is that we continue to support the common cause. That is what joins all of us together. As we all agreed over dinner tonight we hope that we can live to see another National Championship flag raised in Sanford Stadium, or maybe Sanford/Dooley Stadium. Commit to the "G".
