ET played light minutes and did not shoot well but he played better on defense - smarter, found his man after he shot for the block out. And that was a heck of on offensive team we played.

To that point, I think Coach knew he would need his good players to take a lot of minutes - only 6 players in double figure minutes - and 3 of the starters got an extra 2-3 minutes of halftime rest by subbing out late in the first half and sitting. Also, Maten got a media timeout rest together with a couple of minutes subbing out in the second half. Good idea. And he was a horse, played huge minutes especially in the second half. I think Oakland was a bit more winded than us at one point late in the game - their players played similar minutes though it could have been the athletic factor - I'll give coach a little credit for his subbing and having the team in shape. (Then of course Hooper nailed his last three and they rallied and it was sprint to the finish. Oakland has a good team - good combination of offensive skills and sneaky on defense.) Otherwise, we subbed like we did the previous game.

(Right in front of me I thought Geno did a great job getting a charge right before the shot that the ball bounced out and we had the review. He left a guy wide open in the corner but it was the right decision - bodies going down like that I expected a whistle and looked like he was waiting for the guy. Those that saw the TV replay can report.)

Ever now and again, JJ freelances a little on defense, but with him, it's a net positive - we've had a lot of smart and clever players, but with JJ I don't think I've seen anyone who is as smart and as clever. Kinda like Scott Woerner at safety - whatever you please, sir.
