Thanks to all those that risked being traitors and hung by the neck so we could have this glorious country of ours. Every freedom we have this July 4th was earned by those who risked their own lives and fortunes.
My favorite story is that of Trenton.
One key thing left out of this account was the weather was so incredibly bad that the Hessian commander let his men throw a party because he thought no one would be crazy enough to attack in it. They got inebriated (threw a big kegger so to speak) and were slow to get up the morning of the attack. Basically our countries fortunes were turned around because of some drunk Hessians with hangovers. Something to think about...
