You knew it was coming but still it leaves me with an empty feeling. An important part of real southern substance just left us. She was perfect. Eccentric, private, real and mysterious yet graceful. She never changed because that would have a sellout to who and what she was.
BTW, she had lunch with Oprah who tried to get her to do an interview but Nellie cut her off short by telling her no way.....why? "Because I've already said all I've got to say"
