My wife and I have spent a couple of days at a winery outside of Dahlonega. Coming out of the restaurant we see these guys working with a falcon. They encouraged us to watch. We moved into the shade to protect my follicular lay challenged head. I stopped about two feet from a yellowjacket nest. We were videoing the falcon when I noticed all these bugs around my ankles. Yelled at my wife to run just as the first Bastige stung me. Only got me twice, but these north GA version stings are hurting like a biotech hours later.
