Crazy if true, but from what I have read the last audit was in ‘74, and that was a partial one. The one before that was ‘53 or ‘56 I believe.

What y’all think… is it there, will Musk get his way and have an audit done?

There was talk of adjusting the price per ounce up to increase the percentage of gold backing of the dollar. I don’t believe that because there is no free lunch. Not in my lifetime anyway. We are in some kind of race against China to keep the dollar the international currency.

I think it’s there, but that it needs to be checked carefully. Apparently counterfeit bars were found in the Bank of England

I don’t know how an audit will turn out, but I def know that Musk will post on Twitter some crazy nonsense that will be fact-checked and corrected with way less fanfare.

Regardless of how much gold is in Fort Knox, I think everyone should know that the US Dollar is a fiat currency.

If you are depositor, pretty sure that FDIC insures up to 250K per bank account…if they are insured.

but think there are too many things that are not 100% guaranteed, shat happens.

In the next budget, USAid will only be funded for humanitarian reasons, so Sen Whitehouse’s boondoggle won’t be. Neither will Endeavor or whatever its name is in San Antonio, nor the fine entertainment from Peru to Dublin. Or Stacy for that matter. At the rate they are going to be half a million employees lighter. Medicaid fraud, SS fraud,Medicare fraud is maybe not rampant, but significant. Give them some time. It’s only been 6 weeks, and you’re likely to see many many more
