Many, many people on the board point to the fact that no coach hired with Fox has had less success and argue that this shows a lack of commitment to an excellent basketball program.
It’s pretty much the consensus position now, right? Maybe the unanimous one.
Certainly, no one would argue that a football coach with similar success would have lasted as long, and very likely not half as long.
Why then is it controversial to point out, as some have, that some coaches might look at the situation and say, “I wonder how much they care about winning?”
Not that we suck, not that no one decent would ever come here, just that some candidates with lots of options might consider that a negative.
