Here we go. Atl NAACP wants Stone Mountain sand blasted.

This might be the most intelligent thing Hank Johnson has ever said:

Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., who serves the district in which the mountain sits, told local radio station V-103 that he is “not so much affected by Stone Mountain Park as I am by the flag flying at an official government building like a state capitol or even the federal Capitol, a position, the seat of government.”

“I view Stone Mountain as more of a museum-type archaeological place of remembrance for those who want to remember back then and they have a right to remember back then and the park is there,” he said.

At least he didn't say something stupid, such as turning the mountain around to face the other direction. That would have been classic Hank.

You people are just plain rotten. You feel compelled to insult the man even when he agrees with you. That is a clear sign of pure unthinking hate.

No hate that I see. There is a record of statements made by Rep. Johnson in an official capacity that would lead one to believe that he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. If an elected official is that stupid then he is fair game and it's not our job to hold back or cover it up. As a matter of fact it's probably a good idea to let other potential voters know what an idiot he is.

I am surprised Hank didn't say that if we sand blasted Stone Mountain , it might tip over. Still remember his comment that Guam might tip over if we implemented a military installation there.

I've seen the videos, I just don't feel they should be used to disregard his opinions without consideration.
On this particular issue I disagree with him. On others I've thought he was on the right side, some not so much.

This was an issue I disagreed with Representative Johnson on.
I feel Guam is quite buoyant and balanced enough to hold twice the troops and twice the material proposed by our military with little to no tittering.

If you are a woman I bet you have hairy armpits and hairy legs. Pheeeew.

isn't stone mountain all black now? you figure they have some right to say what is in their community?
They chose to move there. Like people that move near an airport then complain about the noise (Peachtree- Dekalb airport for example.
The park was there long before they lived there.

Be honest Helen. You have nothing else to do. It's a shame that your little dog died. Perhaps he killed himself to escape your sorry ass?

Damn Drooley, that's some weird imagination you have. I recommend seeing your doctor about adjusting your meds.

That seems like a pretty bad argument....just because the enslavers of their ancestors were glorified by some klansmen years ago, we all just have to live with it now? Just because it was there first?
