Parker, Maten and JJ seem to have the green light to shoot any time they want. Parker just never rings his shots. All the other players seem to be tight knowing that either making it or missing it, they will be taken out soon for shooting. Or taken out because the gym is hot or because they are simply "new" to the program. Fox was quoted last year saying this: "We are having to play freshmen more than we want too because of injuries." He actually said that out loud. And some people wonder why it's so hard for him to recruit?
We have many good scorers this year. But it is worthless if they are not playing enough consecutive minutes to get in a rhythm or not allowed to shoot or not playing at all. When they do play, let them shoot the damn ball like great players all around the country are doing.
This is not rocket science. Let the kids loose. Give them the freedom to be great without fear of being snatched from the game.
And play the most talented players over veterans who don't produce.
Eight years is a very long time to watch this mess.
