Bama is already at 26 commits and still pushing for a few more elite guys, like CeCe Jefferson for example. Unlike us, they can't go way beyond the 25 cap because they have ZERO early enrollees and therefore can't count anyone back against last year. They can only enroll 25 new prospects next fall regardless of how many guys they "process" this spring to get under the 85 cap. As a side note, they also have 7 total DBs committed and 6 of them are rated 4-stars or better (granted, some project to be safeties rather than CBs but they still have a large and talented DB class where they can afford a little attrition).
So, it sounds to me like they won't fight that hard to keep him and we've got a great shot to turn him back in our favor. Too bad Rico had to learn the hard way how Saban does business, but at least this situation should be resolved before signing day, and hopefully to our benefit.
