Herman has supposedly come to an understanding with Houston, but that is coach speak for I am still looking and UGA needs to pay more than 3.2million, likely 4.2. Keep all our current recruiting connections and pick up some in Texas...

Not a fan or defensive minded HC's in College Ball, want an O guy with a top Defensive Coordinator in an era of spread attacks and increased point scoring.

There are a ton of great defensive minded head coaches in the pros and in college football. Herman would be a great hire, we'll just have to see. However, many coaches could win a title in year 2. Kirby Smart could win a title in year two. You never know what's going to happen. Mark Richt and Jim Donnan were offensive guys. They never brought us a national title and Donnan never put a defense on the field that was worth a damn.

Just think the trend is largely offense right now. Obviously Saban is the best defensive mind and Meyer the best offensive. Oregon and Ohio state were both offense first, auburn and fsu were both offense first, otre dame is offense first...

Saban is a defensive coach. I'm not hung up on style, but defense is still the most important ingredient.
Spread vs pro-style ? FSU and Bama run P-S, OSU and Auburn spread it, so where is the advantage?

I just hope We can keep this awesome class of DLs and add derrick Brown. Pruitt could take some of them with him, maybe most of them.
