How is that Patti Smith book? Does she write about working with Blue Oyster Cult? She wrote a few of their early songs. I have always been interested in knowing a little more about that collaboration.

Saw her in a small club in Augusta, Accoustic and a good show.**

It's fantastic. It's about her time in Greenwich Village

living with Robert Mapplethorpe before and during the time he turned to the other side. It about their financial troubles, CBGB, Max's Kansas City, Andy Warhol and the Factory, living in the Chelsea Hotel, starting her band, Lou Reed's escapades, all the then unknown stars to be living in the hotel at the time, her fascination with Rimbaud, Robert turning to black and white photography....etc. A great story for those interested in the late 60.

The French Ministry of Culture awarded her the prestigious title of Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres, the highest honor awarded to an artist by the French Republic in 2005.

A great read.
