After much serious contemplation I've come up with 2 things that must happen for our Dawgs to conquer the vile and evil that invades our fair campus this Saturday.
Without further ado, here they are.
1. Our OL must hold their own against Bama's beefy and deep interior DL. They are very large and they rotate close to 3 deep. We only substitute on our OL when We've salted games away. How will Our 5 starters hold up late in a tight game when fresh defensive linemen are coming at them ? We have to have room to run and decent pockets for Lambert.
2. We must get pressure on their QB, he's prone to bad throws when pressured. In spite of the talent We have with Jenkins, Carter, Bellamy and Floyd, We haven't gotten many sacks through 4 games. Carter and Floyd are extremely good athletes, but not good finishers when they get to the QB. If Floyd played a bit more under control and he'd lay into QBs, he'd easily get a double digit sack total this season. Just getting there might be enough to rattle him into poor judgment and bad throws though.
