The drunkard kid and his rich mom are evidently masterminds at evading the long arm of the law, in Texas of all places, where reportedly they don't play.

The fact that affluenza is even a word spins me into a rage. This little turd and his shitbag parents ought to be forced to walk banks of the Amazon end to end without any provisions in order to regain their lifestyle.

Class warfare can move pretty quickly from the political arena to the streets if "the system" doesn't stop poking sharp sticks in (we the) people's eye with epic fails like Texas's "affluenza teen n mom" as well as Chicago's "13 months to daylight" investigation of a berserk cop. How hard can it be to just do the right thing?

This case defies logic. Who would have thought this would go over in Texas ? It was a BS defense and no reasonable person should have given it any merit whatsoever. If little lord gold spoon up the ass was negatively influenced by his surroundings, no kid from the projects is guilty of anything. I'm not defending bad behavior from any background.

Live in Texas and it about lead to major issues. No one could believe it occurred. In a state where both sides of the aisle are extremely tough on crime and sentences, nobody has a clue why the judge did what he did.

Money isn't an issue in Texas as much. We've sent far richer folks to prison and even death row. Pictures...perhaps, but pictures for blackmail in texas usually leads to shot.

Mind you, I would have understood if he got probation and some time along with full time live in rehab....wouldn't have agreed, but would have gotten it a bit more.
