How does this sound for St Pattys or any day, really ...

2 onions sliced
3 cloves garlic chopped
3 carrots chopped into 1/2' pieces
3 potatoes pared and quartered
3 whole Bay Leaves
1 1/2 lbs cabbage cut into large wedges
1 corned beef brisket
1 cup water
1 tbs English mustard
1/3 cup brown sugar
parsley for garnish

Add everything but mustard and brown sugar to crock pot, cook 9 hrs. Remove bay leaves. mix mustard and brown sugar and spread over corned beef. Cook an additional hour. Slice across the grain to serve, Garnish with parsley.
 
What I was really doing ...

was sharing what I thought was a good find. I have copied and pasted many good recipes off of here. I've got a whole word file full of them.

bought pork roast yesterday...struckup conversation with lady...

looking to feed many folks.
asked if she was crock potting her roast, she said she had slow roaster...
What's the difference? I thought....?
I just continued to make small talk and we went our separate ways...
Hot? depends...I was S' faced...she was nice...
