Cast a much smaller net.

Focus on just those few sure fire kids we know we can get and use a strategy of going after only those
"Kids who want to be Dawgs" as our plan of action.

That way we can say we got who we went after.

Over the past several years, however, many fans on here begged the coaches to cast a wider net in hopes
that the overall result might improve our recruiting efforts.

So we start casting a much wider net and now fans are very harsh and critical if we don't sign every prospect
we go after.

We wouldn't be having this meltdown about DJ IF we had not bothered to try since he was from Louisiana.

If I were a coach and fans were going to crucify me for missing on longshots...I'd just stop going after them.

But, thankfully, our coaches are too good at what they do to worry about fickle fans. They will continue to cast
a wide net because sometimes we'll haul in some big fish.
