Can we all, please, stop promoting by elevating discord into such a profitable career path?
Can we the people, please, start holding our elected and appointed government officials (public servants) personally accountable for performing their specific “job” assignments?
As part of the citizenry’s demand for effective & efficient completion of our public servants’ duties, can we, please, invoke term limits (min & max as benefits are affected) and age caps?
Last, and possibly most important, can we insist on problem solving at all levels be driven more by pragmatism in seeking realistic, functional, practical, immediate if possible and sustainable solutions to our most common & longstanding problems.
And can we please stop calling our government a democracy, and worrying that its doom is at hand. We are blessed with a democratically elected, representative republic. A pure (clean & clear) democracy is literally majority rule period, which easily devolves into mob rule. Let’s stay away from that as we stop letting party/team/tribal banners & colors paralyze positive & productive growth & improvements for us ALL. That means EVERY one of us citizens.
