HVAC question

Recently bought a 1K sq ft condo and the air compressor (outside) is the original built in 1988.. I know it needs to be replaced. The inside heat pump and unit was replaced in 2004 so I believe it should be fine for several more years....

What am I looking at as far as cost to replace with a new energy efficient compressor with installation?

I would change air handler,condensing unit,and line set. Everything if I was going to keep any length of time. Trane XR 15 for ~4000. Whatever you buy remember to register online. Some dealers do not do this. It will cost you a ten year warranty. It will be only 5 years.
