That Kirby and the defensive staff developed a strategy to defend the QB runs and stretch runs after Auburn. The other two times it reared its head were Mizz and Tech, two games that we were going to win regardless. It just seems like Kirby to have a response in his pocket and coax Bama into game planning all week to run Milroe extensively only to have us clamp down on it early and take a 2-3 score lead. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but I can’t believe that this defensive staff didn’t figure it out after that Auburn debacle. Kirby plays the long game and does not care about the score of the games in the regular season as long as they are wins. This seems like just the sort of thing he would do to get an advantage in the biggest game of the year. JMO
