...there were not any real congratulatory messages posted about MT making second team ALL-SEC and ALL-SEC Defensive Team, not to mention his SEC Community Team award this week. I wasn't expecting a ticker-tape parade, but some "Way to go Marcus" and "Appreciate what you do" from the UGA Hoops fans doesn't seem to me to be asking too much.
Marcus is not perfect, has made his share of mistakes, and did not play at the level most of expected his first three years at UGA. As Mr. Georgia Basketball he could have gone almost anywhere he wanted, yet he chose to go to UGA because he genuinely wanted to be a part of turning our program around. He has worked extremely hard to overcome quite a bit of adversity, stayed at UGA this year when he could have gone to another school, been the truest example of a student-athelete, and - per no less an authority than the SEC coaches - been a stalwart of this year's team.
What does he have to do to get the respect he has already earned from this board ?
