have won two more games. I also believe if we had played some more zone in three of our losses we would have won two of them. So, I am a bit disappointed, but I don't blame CMF entirely. We just would have been in a great position at this point instead of a hopeful one. We have played some very good mtm defense as of late and CMF, the players and staff deserve credit for that. But, if you noticed in the Tech game that playing just a little zone really made a difference in that ballgame. I said a while back, even though the evidence is anecdotal, that when we go zone we almost always create turnovers quickly, which we did the other day. I also predicted a while back that we would be having to play without KG in the lineup way to often due to him being asked to defend the best offensive guard on our opponent. which leads to foul problems. It has happened a few times since I posted that point. We have problems scoring at times, especially from distance, so we need KG in the game as much as possible. Would it be too much to ask just to mix in a bit more zone to alleviate that situation to some extent?

My other concern at this point are our lineups at critical times in the game....and that doesn't always mean at the end of games. It appears CMF wants to stick with his sub patterns no matter what is happening in the flow of the game. There are critical junctures in games when you have chances to, if not put teams away, at least to increase a lead. I honestly feel like we miss a lot of opportunities to expand leads by over-subbing when the chance is there. I always felt like it was a good idea to go with a lineup, if it was clicking, even if I felt it would normally be time to sub. I just don't see that with CMF. He seems to feel whomever he puts in the game is supposed to do what he teaches and that is enough.

I was very happy to see us finally come out to begin the second half with a lead, vs a quality opponent and actually extend the lead. That is the type of thing that I notice that, imo, shows, we are making some progress.

And can someone give me a good reason why Turtle is not getting much more pt. What has he done wrong in his limited court time to deserve to sit while our veteran continues to pile up turnovers and shoot less than 30% from the field. From what I've seen he can handle the point and will only get better with more pt.

Anyway, many will accuse me of beating deceased equines once again, but we are beginning to jell and play well. Some adjustments could make the difference in getting to the dance and not. Whether these offered would help or not it's just my two cents.
