I firmly believe Richt was fired no later than 11/1 and knew it.

He was gone after the Flordia game

He is gone BECAUSE of The UF game. That doesn't mean the decision came so soon though.
We don't have an all powerful AD or booster who can turn thumbs down and make it so.
It's been said all along rumblings from high places started after that terrible performance. Since We haven't lost since, clearly that was the final straw.
I'm guessing it took weeks for McGarity to get a critical mass of opinions and give His stamp of approval though.

Money runs the show

Yep what I'm hearing that Kirby will get what Kirby wants
He has and has had other options so he would not have come without the skids being greased. Thing with JP is, I don't believe he (Kirby) wants to retain him. Tis said that (retaining Pruitt) was a demand from McGarrity but Kirby balked. His choice is clearly Muschamp but he is the top choice of SC for the head coach spot. Rodriquez is trying there but the AD wants Will. A name to keep in mind if Muschamp falls through is another defensive coach at Bama. A guy they are desperate to keep on staff, more so than anyone currently employed there not named Saban.

I would like to keep Pruitt as well, but you got to let the head coach make his own choices. His has staff.

I can assure you, ADGM or AA did not demand he be kept. McLendon, Brown for sure and possibly Rocker.

Landing Kirby and Richt's hiring in Miami has come wrapped too neatly.

Miami's AD called him the day after he fired Golden. Richt told him that he was committed to Georgia and wanted to stay their until he retired. The day after Richt got fired, UM's AD called him again and Richt told him he might take some time off. Nevertheless, they agreed to meet in Atlanta the next day. Richt thought about it and and got what he wanted, including a commitment from the U to provide him with whatever he needed to win a NC in the future. He and his wife got excited again about the prospect of finishing his career at the same school he played at. Also, Richt knew the Miami job might not come up again if he took time off. This came out in today's press conference with Richt.

So what your saying is that Richt will be featured on a 2 Live Crew album in the near future? The only way Miami gets back in the national spotlight is if they start running with an NFL payroll again.
