Police need all our support. I went up to a policeman in his squad care last week where I run and thanked him for his service. told him that there are many out here that support and apprreciate them. He must have thought I was going to complain or something because he broke into a big smile and we shook hands.
That's very nice of you and it does make us feel good . Sadly he probably did think you were fixing to complain because that what seems like what a lot of people do . Thanks for doing that .
We should all be more openly appreciative of what law enforcement officers face on a daily basis. We need to get over the fact that they are no less susceptible to being less than perfect in their choices or their fears or their perceptions. Know that like anyone in any profession, they are subject to make mistakes and bad decisions. But their purpose is to protect and serve the community. That's ALL of us.
going into a store and i held the door for a deputy to enter , i told him i appreciated what he does . i think he was surprised, but smiled .
