He'd be a good choice, but do you think he'd want to move to the down 'n' dirty SEC? He and his wife are alumni of Stanford, and the university (as well as the boosters) has more money than UGA does.
Ain't happening. West coast people and they have a pipeline of smart kids who are great athletes to choose from. Kids that they don't have to spend a huge amount of time disciplining and worrying about where they are. Not 100% but he has a great job and has obviously done well at it. And he would be maybe put off at the abject change in the culture of coaching some SEC kids at UGA.
Don't know, but maybe he wants the challenge? I've heard this from several people over the last few days. Of course, heard a bunch of things over the last few days, so who really knows at this point. Regardless, I don't think the public will know anything until Sunday at the earliest. At this point, you almost have to believe it is a coach from a team that is playing in a championship game this Saturday.
I sure hope so. I have zero faith in the Apple Dumpling Gang up there at B-M. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Van Gorder announced as our next head coach.
As well as the truck driver for the bandit and the singer of the fantastic Eastbound and down.
