We were darn good that year. Murray was coming of age. A freshmen tandem of backs named Gurley and Marshall were bursting onto the scene. Jarvis Jones took over in Columbia, MO. We won a shootout at home vs. a pretty good UT team. We go to Columbia and get blitzed by Clowney and company. Then we look absolutely horrid in Lexington. Gurley can't run for nothing. We have 77 rushing yards and we can't stop them. They rush for over 200. Murray saves us with his arm and we escape 29-24. The D looks terrible.

Off week, then to play undefeated and #2 Florida.

That was a very, very good Florida team, and I still contest maybe the best D I've ever seen us play against. Absolutely no one was open the whole day, but Coach Richt delivered probably his best performance against probably the best team he ever beat. It was the only game the Gators lost, and it cost them the East.

After we'd looked terrible in Lexington.

Every game is a game unto itself.

One of the biggest mistakes fans make is thinking that exactly what happened in the last game will happen in the next game. It never does.
