Could you give us an example of something he said you disagree with and why?
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen......But I won't hold my breath
Thanks for throwing me that softball question. Hope you didn't hold your breath long enough to kill what brain cells you do have...
10 MAR 2015: "Ted Kennedy sent a letter to then Soviet leader Yuri Andropov apologizing for Ronald Reagan and begging the Soviets not to overreact."
Presented as fact, but based on a KGB memo that was itself based on hearsay information. The KGB reported the statement was attributed to former US Senator John Tunney of California, who emphatically denied ever saying it.
3 FEB 2015: The children coming across the southern U.S. border "were never examined after they got here and quarantined if they had a disease. They were just sent out across the country. Many of them had measles ... We now have an outbreak of it all because of our immigration policy."
Presented as fact, but the truth is that in 2014, over 68,000 unaccompanied minors presented themselves at the border. The departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services addressed this issue. Homeland Security set up new processing centers and HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement looked after the children until their fates were resolved. All children who did not have documentation of vaccinations were given vaccines.
Just an FYI -
According to the World Health Organization, Mexico has a slightly higher rate of pediatric vaccinations (95%) than does the United States (94%).
The truth is that religious weirdos are largely responsible for the recent measles outbreak. The CDC reports that more than 80% of all measles cases were among people who chose not to be vaccinated due to their religious beliefs.
2 FEB 2015: "A married couple that" use the same last name "is rarer and rarer in our country."
Presented as fact, but the truth is that a 2007 U.S. Census Bureau report. based on the bureau's American Community Survey in 2004, found that only 6 percent of married women who were born in the U.S. had surnames that were "non-conventional." That includes hyphenated surnames, two surnames and women who kept their own surname at marriage.
30 JUN 2014: "Obama regime planned the influx of illegal alien children at the border."
Presented as fact, but the truth is that the US Border Patrol and Department of Homeland Security studies trends and plans in advance for spikes in immigration. As a result of such studies and planning, the departments asked the Obama administration and Congress for authorization to hire a private company to conduct medical screenings and to provide care for any children that might be detained or quarantined at the border. Limbaugh and other lunatic fringe right wingers seized on these facts as a conspiracy.
18 JUN 2014: The decision to cancel the trademark of the Washington Redskins "is not the Patent and Trademark Office. This is Barack Obama."
Presented as fact, but the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board judges who ruled on the Washington Redskins case were Judge Karen Kuhlke, who was appointed by President Bush in 2005; Judge Peter Cataldo, who was appointed by President Bush in 2006; and Judge Marc Bergsman, who was appointed by President Bush in 2006.
28 APR 2014: "Some of the wealthiest Americans are African-American now."
Presented as fact, but according to Forbes magazine, there was only one African-American among the 400 wealthiest Americans---Oprah Winfrey, and she was 184th. No other African-American is even close to being in the top 400.
