I know a lot of you on here are associated with your local Bulldog Club and probably have a good feeling for the really good speakers out there for events. I could use your help!
We have a local Touchdown Club that meets on Friday's at lunch in Anderson, SC. While it is a HEAVY Clemson crowd, they always give me 1 week per year to bring in a UGA speaker.
I always prefer to have someone from the Athletic Dept talk about what all is going on at UGA but the members of the club always request a former Letterman that has some name recognition. They like the players with a bit of an NFL background.
Do you all have any thoughts on some good speakers that would represent UGA well? Over the years we've had Barbara and Vince Dooley speak. Barbara was long considered the best speaker they had ever had at the club! Loran Smith has been by many times also. I even had Damon Evans over here before his big promotion (and soon demotion).
I'd appreciate any help you might could offer!
