You may have seen the graphic on ESPN this past weekend that the SEC matched the most 60-point wins by a conference in a season...in just one week.

Joel Klatt mentioned in his podcast that the Power 4 and Group of 5 conferences have raided FCS schools of talent via NIL & transfer portal, and the result is that Power 4-FCS match ups are less competitive than they ever have been. He suggested that the Power 4 shouldn't schedule FCS schools going forward because of this, and that the money that FCS schools get from such mismatches to sustain their programs can be carved out of the CFP money pool. I actually agree with him on this point. There has to be a better way than allowing these hugely noncompetitive mismatches, where the talent levels are severely unequal.
