I'm sure it's not just a random drop. I'm fairly sure any move we make in Syria at this point has a high degree of probability to end badly though. The situation is a damned if you do, damned if you don't Gordian knot of a cluster duck.
The problem with that is having made promises to rebels whose necks are now on the line.

my concern I that like a lot of other munitions and supplies that we send to that part of the world, that these simply end up in the hands of those that wish to do the USA harm
