I noticed TCU, OK ST, Clem, FSU, Ole Miss, Ark, Indiana, etc.. the coaches were emotional and getting their team to play off fired up emotion...they were tapping into the moments..esp Dabo and the OL coach...he was all in his team down the stretch...

WE AINT GOT THAT! I think we know it ...but the emotional keyed up fire can push a player above the mundane...MR just keeps calm...

Let's get Dabo. "THIS TEAM HAS GOT GREATNESS IN THEM!"

Great coaches don't need fake juice to get their teams up. I never saw Bear Bryant, Tom Landry, Bobby Dodd, Bill Belichek, Darrell Royal, or Eddie Robinson get "emotional" in order to fire their teams up.

You seem to ignore that every player says CMR is emotional behind closed doors. Screaming on the sideline does not make a good coach

Ray Goff was rah-rah...where did that get him? We don't need another cheerleader. Tom Landry and Bear Bryant would think this is silly. Do you ever see Saban jumping around like an idiot?

I see Saban getting in grills and coaching up and getting his team ready to play...rarely are they not ready to play in a big game...rarely are we READY to play a big game...

Will Muschamp is the best current example of an "emotional, keyed up coach". That style absolutely backfired on him at Florida.

I think you're looking for another reason that Richt is just not an effective coach. It could be that he's just not a good coach, emotional or not.

I think some of you misunderstand or don't really know what I was saying with the original post....maybe you've never been in the arena to know the difference..

I ain't talking bout going batshit on a player, I ain't talking about losing control on the sidelines and blowing a gasket...

I'm talking about getting a team ready to play, riding the emotional high that crunch time brings in a game...

In the 4th quarter, the OL coach had the OL in a circle pep talking the guys, Dabo came in and gave an extra fire up encouraging "let's close this thing out" kind of rally...you could see the players believe in themselves and get extra motivation...it was toward the end...they needed to keep the ball and run out the clock...etc...put the game away...

That's what I'm talking about
