I like him a and Carter. This class and the next class have a chip and a drive. They want to win and win big.
The junkyard dawgs are back we are not your grandfathers or fathers junkyard. We are kick your but chew you up and spit you out kind.
Then we piss in the house. We're bad dawgs.

I agree Marshall has more value to Us than His 3 star rating would suggest.
He looks like a near perfect fit for a Bama style 3-4, two gap defense. He is EXTREMELY strong at the point of contact, He rarely gets moved backward. He is a whistle to whistle hustler, He clearly loves playing. He shows good instincts in shutting off passing lanes and He moves very well laterally for such a muscular Guy.
I'm guessing He'll play 1 of the LB positions, though he's listed as a DE.

He will probley be a outside line backer slash nickle d end . He reminds me a lot of donta fowler.

We have surely not had a great record of on-going success over the years from our 5-Star signee's with very few exceptions. Not saying 3 stars are consistently better investments than high 4 or 5 star guys, but it surely seems that much of the creme de la creme tends to peak in HS and/or fizzle vs. equal competition at the college level and beyond. Especially big uglies. Wish I had the patience to do a study for you, but it is very easy to go look at the 5 star linemen listed on the top 100 and 250 lists back in 2009-2012. Very few became great college players or became contributors in the NFL. It seems that evaluation and development are much bigger factors with the bigger (bodies not names) players. Here's to expecting a better rate of evaluating potential and developing skills going forward on our forward walls ("D" and "O").

No problem with that as I agree with that. Just saying part of that is to consider evaluating and developing talent (especially offensive linemen) as an exciting part of our program going forward, and not just how many ranking points we can make on signing day.
