If Beck isn't a first round pick, what does he lack aside from the amount of starts they like?

He does seem to lock on to his first read and not notice some open receivers at times. But other than that, I see nothing. His arm strength is well above average. He is accurate, deadly so at times. Has enough athleticism that you can't just assume he won't run.

What am I missing?
