(and there was plenty), I suggest he look at #4.
Starting his first day on campus, Fox should have cultivated Crump to be our 2nd or 3rd scoring source and part time PG. Crump is a good shooter who could be a great shooter with consistent playing time, a confidence building coach, and a system that allowed him to drive shoot/or dish.
He should have been playing 15-20 minutes last year to build his game and 25+ minutes this year. I feel he would have been our 2nd leading scorer and an element opposing coaches would have to game plan against.
I know his ball security is not the greatest, but he is so much more natural than Turtle. I think playing 20 minutes a game for 30 games last year would have greatly improved that.
You might say he plays bad defense. Yeah, but I would have cured that in practice. He improved none while setting on the bench. It’s amazing what running suicides in practice does to ones focus in games.
What a difference it would be for our team if he was a dependable 12-15 points per game with occasional gust to 20-25. ( it would have added to Yante’s and DO’s ppg as well)
No one else on the team has that ability to score! But all Fox cared about was his D.
