If Pruitt is joining the Bama staff right away, Kirby needs to stay in Athens..

How is it fair for Our HC plus Pruitt in Tuscaloosa while We're stuck with an unmotivated skeleton staff preparing Our players, not to mention Pruitt recruiting for them ?
This changes the equation IMO, McGarity needs to have a talk with Kirby.

Our players have now been abandoned by their former HC, Their new HC and their DC.
This is starting to piss Me off.

I agree, this changes the situation completely. It is like Bama is getting two DCs for the price of one.

Worse even, this year's UGA team has simply been abandoned. This is on McGarity, the mutt eared bastard should have our players backs.

Once again saban trumps us! We need a response and Kirby coaching for saban has to end today.

I agree, to Me it's about these kids on this UGA team being abandoned more than strategy. It gives recruiters for other programs ammo, they can point out how our kids were abandoned by all of the top people charged with taking care of them, and it looks like the truth at this time.

If things still seem as they appear right now, come Monday morning I might take a drive to Athens and have a talk with some players. They need to see they have a right not to be discarded like yesterday's news.

This is ridiculous. Why don't we just let Saban take what he wants from our program for the next month? Kirby needs to get his ass in Athens. I've lost all patience now on this issue.

I was ok with Richt leaving early because when he stayed for FSU's title game the offense was clearly not prepared.
It's looking more and more like this year's team simply hasn't been considered in the equation though.

I'm just glad that Georgia football is all about winning Alabama a championship. Maybe Pruitt can bring over some training equipment and whatnot when he reports for duty. We gotta do whatever we can to get Alabama their championship.

Will Pruitt be able to coach per NCAA rules? Or have more Bama coaches left that's made room for him to coach a position for the game? is he just leaving Athens early? Been tied up with elderly parent situation & out of town all week, really don't know specifics except he's leaving.

Kirby coaching with Pruitt watching makes no sense

1) I don't think Pruitt can actually coach per NCAA rules, but even so, oh well

2) Kirby is keeping his word and sticking with his current team till the end...Pruitt ran out of town
3) If this doesn't tell you all you need to know about Pruitt the man and his lack of integrity and character....

When word spread about the in fighting within the football staff and AD, some came here making claims Pruitt had been run out of Bama, then FSU.
We see what a crock that was, and so is the BS he was the problem here. He insisted people see the real issues, THAT is why he lost his job.
Every coach and every player who actually worked under Pruitt think very highly of him, he also got results by the way.
I wish our leaders were big enough men to keep him on.

Actually completely incorrect...but that doesn't matter to you. Pruitt had the same issues at FSU...and at Bama...difference, Saban can control anyone. Heck, he controls Kiffin. He lost his job for trying to be more than he was...but facts don't matter to you. Oh, and so far, he has stopped bad teams...but where did he stop good teams?

You're saying Saban took him back in a higher position after he was disruptive and was eased out...bull shit.
He also had to have Saban's recommendation to get The FSU job.
You're just browning up the company line, whether you realize it or not.

Saban can deal with anyone if they perform. Pruitt performs, but trust me, working directly for Saban...he won't pull the shit he did at UGA or FSU.

And no, he would have needed, if any, Kirby's recommendation. Pruitt wasn't even in the Bama defensive game plan meetings...at that point it was just Kirby and Saban. Kirby was Pruitt's boss....if he didn't want him, that should tell you more about your beloved Pruitt...who I believe was improving, but hadn't proven jack squat yet as ever offense worth a damn and scored at will.

Correct. Glad you pointed out Saban can control. He's not about "love & forgiveness". Player or coach, do your job or be gone.

Actually that is what happens when you fire the sitting coach. Everywhere. This is not unique to UGA. And the fact that KS is the new head guy @ UGA is a net loss to UA. JP can't go on the road recruiting, and KS is recruiting for UGA and that is what is happening right now so they are at a disadvantage too.

* CMR was fired so he didn't abandon.

* The talk with KS has already taken place. He is a principled person who refused to "abandon" the players he coached to this point and communicated that to the hiring parties at UGA. Principles are still alive and well in some quarters Helen, obviously not in those whom you travel and identify with but they are. You wouldn't understand of course but yes they are. And principles are part of what got him the job and cost him the AU job once before when he wouldn't quit on the players who were in a national champ game. Yes he insisted on staying with the players through that game and it is for sure the ptb's at UGA know that and respect his character immensely.

* Pruitt is likely watching film or looking for a place to live or some such since he can't recruit nor have any active role coaching so change your drawers and settle down. I thought you were quitting already anyway and giving up on the football program.....

Good post. If anybody abandoned, it was Pruitt. He could have hung around, they were all asked to coach the bowl game. Getting good money to do so. But even though he can't coach or recruit for Bama, he chose to leave anyway.

Paint it how You will, the facts are Kirby remains at Bama while UGA's Richt and Pruitt have left this team.
Pruitt will be actively game planning and preparing the team, You do know Saban, right ? He is rather known to take every advantage.

Not for the NC game. Then again, hope he does & puts Bama on probation. He tends to go off on his own & play by his own rules. Course Saban won't put up with it like Richt did.
