If the Dawgs beat Bammer in 2012, Richt has his NC

They whip Notre Dame handily just like Bammer did.

Dawgs came so very close.

Since then, Richt seems a tad unfocused at times, losing games that the Dawgs shouldn't or playing down to the level of his opponents(RE: two 3 point squeakers over two bad UT teams and a very bad Fla. team that got whipped by Ga. Southern.)

Is that loss to Bammer still bothering him?

It happened with Fulmer in 2001. All he had to do was beat a mediocre LSU team that UT had already beaten soundly earlier in the year in the SECC and UT was playing for the NC.

PLUS, he had a 10 point lead at halftime and LSU had lost their RB and Q/B.

And he let Saban whip him with a 1 legged fat back-up Q/B. Chavis had been attacking all 1st half on defense. 2nd half, went to the prevent

In the 7 following years, Fulmer still had 4 seasons with 10 or more wins. Even won the SECE twice. But the team never really contended again

The only people who talk about "5 yards away" in 2012 are the wine & cheese crowd that doesn't care about winning. Georgia is rapidly becoming like UVA. 8 wins and a clean program are plenty for them. Just my observation.
