If we played better and lost, I would be talking about how bad we suck….but this is the best response to the game because it was so bad….

Neutral site and no rain, Ole Miss isn’t 18 points better than us on most days. I mean, 18?? In fact, we might beat them 60% of the time. Despite all the valid points people are making about searels and Bobo and WR recruiting…..and most are valid….. we were going to have to play a great game yesterday on the road in the rain against a talented team with a mobile QB and we just lost. That game was personal to Lane and Ole Miss and don’t think it wasn’t after we annihilated them last year. Still, It was a ball game until….wait for it…,turnovers. Sometimes that crap happens. Maybe getting the early 7 pt lead and seeing Dart limping made us relax.

So much went wrong in that environment that it’s too much to process. Your only conclusion could be everything is awful…which isn’t reasonable. The logical takeaway is that sometimes you lose. Reminded me of that South Carolina game we got hammered in years ago in Columbia under Richt. That stadium was sizzling. Not sure what could have been done about it during the game to reverse momentum.

Season on the line next week…learn what you can from this game and flush it. At home….backs against the wall….we’ll see what team comes out. Gotta get this season concluded.
