I'm wondering if he can show imagination in play calling. Bobo had become excellent in mixing it up, contrary to many fans' thinking.
Schotty comes from a very conservative coaching tree and he's always been a conservative OC in The NFL. The college game is different, you can do things at this level that NFL defenses would sniff out. You almost have to use variety to score enough to win big in today's CFB.

I thought the first series was awful play calling and I don't like him being on the field . I have concerns and that was just ULM .
I know we have Chubb but too me game one too much to run him like that . Why didn't we take him out ?

I think the play calling was deliberate. This was the CFB equivalent of a pre-season game. Richt and his offensive staff don't want to unveil the entire playbook in Game 1 when the generic offense can win on its own.
Why is that? They scored 51 points in just over 3 quarters of a game. If it hadn't been lightning in Madison, AL we would have scored 3 more times.
