very 'soft' commit. I understand completely when the particular defensive or offensive strategy hinges on a particular coordinator... but otherwise, the college world is replete with coaches moving on to different opportunities.

Hard to convince a 18-19 year old of anything, but I'd like to advise them they need to choose the institution and let the coaches be a minor consideration. After all, it is supposed to be an avenue to a free education... not a guarantee for NFL playing time.

Hard to convince anyone if you've been talking with, emailing with, texting with the same guy who is trying to win your heart and mind for months, sometimes years, on end. A relationship and personal bond forms.

If tht was the case where a coach didnt matter and the system wasnt attractive...Eason would just sign with washington tech

Get your point, but would go with USC. Kid wants to win...not according to some who are pledging never to cheer for UGA again, but kids do like to win trophies.

How has Richt's recruit vetting process worked so far? We are going to lose some and we are going to gain some. I don't see it as a big deal. If Eason wants to go some where else, good for him. He is not the savior.

Here is the hard question, but it must be asked. Why would a kid who has a deep desire to win a championship ever come to Georgia under Richt if he had a choice? They were coming to get ready to play in the NFL and not have to pay the price to win big in college. I would rather have a NC than a bunch of players making it to the NFL.

Our goal is not to send a bunch of kids to the NFL, it is to win championships. Period

1) we were addressing your comment, not anything about eason...so way to somewhat change the subject.
2) Every 18 year old thinks they are going to the NFL, every 18 year old thinks they and their fellow recruit friends can make the difference.
3) If you think, for one second, that they aren't willing to pay the price to win, you haven't met many college athletes, but in the same vane, if you think they all aren't trying to get to the NFL..what is college for...to prepare you for life, specifically your work life, so if a coach wins , but never put a kid in the league (wouldn't occur, but for hypothetical) then he would eventually stop winning, because recruits would stop coming.
