so if UGA beats USCE tonight and sweeps the series, how exactly would the committee justify taking South Carolina over us? If the committee looks past just the win-loss record, we would have to be the third/ fourth team out of the conference to make the field right? The only thing that stands out to me about their resume (other than the cosmetic W-L record) is the win at College Station. Impressive, but enough to trump a fellow bubble team sweeping you in three games?
I know "they" say that conferences aren't guaranteed a number of spots in the field but I can't see the SEC only getting three in. A Georgia win today has to have us squarely in the mix to be that last team in.
Sorry I know this has probably been beaten to death, just trying to wrap my head around the implications of today.
