I was wondering why they were coming all the way down here for one game. It's about a four and a half hour bus ride.
Looks like High Point was actually down in Macon last weekend to play Mercer and in a three-team tournament that also involved Florida A&M. So I guess they figured they'd stay in Georgia for an extra two days and catch us on the way back up.
These guys are 9-3 overall, though it doesn't look like they've played much of a schedule. They lost to Mercer on Friday and FAMU on Saturday, before beating Mercer on Sunday. Looks like they've only got one Georgia player on their roster. Interestingly, they have a pitcher from Keller, Texas as do we (Eric Hammond)
