"Unrest has been reported across the country as workers have taken to the streets protesting unpaid wages and challenging unfair dismissals following the closures of factories squeezed by US tariffs, according to Radio Free Asia."

Can't imagine it's fake... there have been many cancelled shipments and China is sitting on US inventories that aren't being paid. They probably don't have the cash to pay their workers without the product being purchased. A buddy of mine has $4M of product sitting over there waiting on tariffs to come down.

I was listening to the "All in" podcast (can't remember which) and their guest said you can go ahead and ship the items to the US and put in a warehouse near the port. You do not have to pay the tariffs until you pull the goods from the warehouse and the rate would be at the time pulled. This could be a huge savings for your friend as shipping can take up to 60 days on the water. I will link it if I can find it.

I really don’t think this is going to last much longer. When China is done, the rest will come a lot easier. IMO. Listening to some podcasts from guys who really know China and their current situation was interesting. The stat that they have more empty buildings currently than we have buildings kind of blew my mind. Also, their population is aging. They had a rule on the amount of children you could have for the last 15 years. Which will likely help them in the future as far as affording their population, but it doesn’t help them in this moment for sure.

yes we also have tons of product sitting waiting on tariffs. The next thing that will happen is freight rates will go through the roof. This is all such a disaster and handled so poorly.
