When asked about Wes Johnson leaving to become the skipper at Georgia, he said that Georgia contacted him about CWJ in Hoover and he then gave CWJ a heads up. There was a point in time, however, that it looked like it wasn’t going to happen and they were ready to move forward like normal. Then something happened and he ended up getting the job. Jay said he’s going to to be a great HC and that they’ll find a great pitching coach to replace him but he’s going to miss working with CWJ because he’s such a great person. He said there will be no drama this weekend like the Kiffin/Saban drama.
