NonDawg Interesting season long CFB contest I was invited to this year

It's called the long and short tournament. No idea if this is a standard contest but I had never heard of it until last year. You pick 1 team from anywhere (including unranked teams) to "long" and 1 team within the top 30 ranked teams to "short." You want your "long" to move up in the rankings and your "short" to move down. For example, you short Ohio State (currently ranked 2) and long Iowa (currently ranked 25). Let's say Ohio state ends up at 5 and Iowa ends up at 15, your score would be 13 (3 for Ohio state and 10 for Iowa). If your long moves down or short moves up, you end up losing points. What would your strategy be going into this year? Current rankings here for those interested. Any time unranked chosen for the "long" starts with a ranking of 31.
