Last week I had the "opportunity" to sit in on a meeting with a family member and her criminal defense attorney.
I had previously googled the attorney and found that she was a UGA Law grad. Her other credentials appeared to be legit to my completely untrained eye.
After the meeting we were all in an elevator together and I said "so you graduated from UGA law school." She said yes and that she had married a football player during her sophomore year. I asked his name. She said Randy McMichael as if I might not know who that was. I responded enthusiastically and said that I would always remember his contributions to the Hobnail Boot game in particular. Small world. Best conversation I've had with a lawyer in a long time. She said their daughter just got accepted to UGA and I told her mine did too (she did).

The defendant is my half-sister and she is guilty as hell.
