I know it was reported last week when things were looking grim that the boosters were pissed, as we spent a lot of money on NIL this year and the expectation was that we would make the tournament.
The way I see it, if we win one game this week, we finally get over the hump, make the tournament, and our NIL budget will keep steady or even increase, allowing us to keep some key players and get some new ones in addition to a solid incoming freshman class, setting us up to remain competitive.
But if we choke and lose both, the drought continues, we miss the tournament, the NIL faucet is turned off, our roster falls apart, we won’t have the horses to compete, CMW is fired after next year, and we’re back at Square 1
I know things are never that simple but it really does feel like this week determines everything
