Already two top-5 wins, and they handled UNC (#11, I think?) pretty well last night in Maui. They play for the Maui championship today, which I think most agree is the most prestigious pre-conference tournament out there. (I love how they play it in an intimate gym instead of some huge football stadium—way more how basketball should be, in my opinion, but I digress.)

Broome is so good—probably the best shot blocker in the country and an absolute rebounding machine. It amazes me what Baker-Mazara can do: how he shoots the 3 and stays so efficient as a taller player. This feels like the Barn’s most legit chance to make a run for the natty with this team (and it brings me extreme jealousy to write that). The Barn should always be a “football-first” school, so for them to do what they’re doing with Pearl in basketball again really stirs up that jealousy.

Maybe one day the Dawgs will be like that. Hopefully, White is the guy!
