Is Turtle the key to a successful season?

I look at the full season in mini 6 game seasons. Your goal should be to be 5-1 or 4-2 for each mini season. 3-3 is rough and any losing version is dreadful. In looking at our first two mini seasons (with one not complete) there are obvious issues and minimal improvements. I hate it, but I think JJ is struggling. I think his role is much different than last year and he is trying to make up for the loss of Charles Mann. Not that Charles was so dominating but the role he took seemed to be a calming influence on JJ. He would take better shots and they were much more in the flow of the game and not forced. Without Mann and that presence, I think he is struggling to find that flow and is forcing too much.
This is where Turtle's improvement comes into play over the next two mini seasons. I think he has been hesitant to take open shots and even more to drive to the basket (which I think he can be very good). We need him to really take control of the pace of play and the offense and have JJ feed off of him. Penetrating and dishing to our big men or the kick out to JJ has not been seen this year. We need more of it and we need Turtle to be that catalyst for change with his play!

Mini Seasons

1st - 5-1
2nd - 2-2 (good chance to go 4-2, but man that Marquette loss hurt!)
