that cost us the game, although not playing Crump at all is still ridiculous.
Elder nailed it exactly in a post below. We lost this game over the previous three months when Fox failed to develop his roster according to the talent he has on it. The stupidity of believing a player can't play two positions his first year.Hell, you can't learn even one sitting on the bench. Not seeing that DO and Edwards both have scoring potential, especially since Yante is such a threat from out at the top. This has to leave them one on one on the block or in the lane. We should have worked the hell out of that option all year.
How can Diatta go several games with virtually np playing time and then suddenly get 16 minutes? No wonder he looked a bit lost. He finally get some time vs the best defense we've seen, but he knows if he screws up he may sit for five more games. Nobody can play with that type of uncertainty.
Now that HK and KPG are down to virtually scrub minutes, which many kept saying we should have patience because that will eventually happen, maybe they can explain the logic of playing them so much earlier on. Maybe it's like one genius posted early in the season...it's because Fox wants to get them pt now since they won't get it once the sec season begins.
Fox should have realized from the get go that he had a solid 8-9 guys, that if they had some mtm limitations, could be honed to a very good defensive team with ample use of zone. And that an uptempo offense would benefit all of them.
No in-game coaching wasn't the problem last night. Fox was pretty much in deer in headlights mode, not doing much of anything and wondering where it all went wrong.
