Georgia just doesn't have the talent to really play with the big boys. Other teams can go to their bench for help, but Georgia just doesn't have the depth. The Kentucky game in Athens was a prime example. They played awesome, but ran out of gas at the end of the game. The guard play for Georgia leaves a lot to be desired. You play to your strengths so I know they were trying to play inside out, the problem is they don't have an out. Kenny Gaines is a good player, however, Frazier and Mann are role players. Mann is good at driving, but not good at finishing. Yet, if it wasn't for his ability to get into the lane and get to the free throw line Georgia wouldn't have won as many games as they did. I don't know what happened with Frazier - he went off in a game earlier this year and hasn't really looked for a shot much since. Mark Fox is a good X's and O's coach.TacoMac in Suwanee is a pretty good place to watch the tournament.I need a haircut.
In your opinion, with some thought and explanation - what will it take to get Georgia to the next level? For those of you that are going to say a new coach - then at least explain your thought process.
I personally think the exposure of the tournament helps. I also think we are incrementally moving in the right direction. It's just not as fast as we all would want in an instant grits society.
