Damn waiting for Bama to finish their season, he is doing his duty in coaching through the playoffs. He needs to do what's right by UGA as well, that means putting a staff together as soon as possible.

Yes. Bluntly put, the longer he waits to put together a staff the more ground we lose in recruiting and prep for 2016.

The new staff is already in Athens. Eason met the oc today the new dc is taking a dump on pruitts desk already. While the oc the is taking a pee on shotty face.

I can't imagine letting Eason and his family fly across country for an official visit and not have an OC and QB coach for him to meet. Maybe, they have been told who it is and they are playing in a championship game.

I'm hearing the new staff is in Athens

. Has anyone let any info slip about who? Suspense is killing me
No just that my cousin is real good friends with one of the big bosters nephew .ill ask tho. Cochran coming

If the coaches are in town, I don't see the point in not announcing who they are.
If this is some quirk of Kirby's, it's going to get old quick.

It looks like someone would have seen them and as many of us who are looking and talking , word would be out.

Has Kirby addressed UGA fans other than at Monday's presser ? I hope he feels communicating with the fan base is an important part of his job.

It sure does, besides, We have a right to know as soon as it's practical to make it public.
I could jump off the band wagon real quick if fans are considered unimportant to Kirby.

Maybe he is waiting for tomorrow during the event for the big reveal?

This is time sensitive, I don't see Saban or others delaying announcements.
I'm developing a real dislike for McGarity. Does he even consider this year's UGA players in his calculations ?

It's tonight Kirby going to reveal tonight

How can Kirby possibly continue to coach at Alabama with this new twist.

Idk he might not considering he about to gut Bamas entire coaching staff. Maybe it's a frick you to Saban and say heres your final championship. Watch me build a power in Georgia

Now Cochran and some coaches still have a champion ship.

**** their damn championship. How is Bama's program more important than seeing our kids through their season ? From what I see and hear right now our players have been abandoned by Richt, Kirby and Priutt,,,**** them all.. and double **** McGarity.
This is pure bullshit.
I wouldn't blame our players if they quit before the season is over. They don't owe this program another ounce of sweat.

Well the staff might stay in Athens and only Kirby go's that idea is geting thrown around a lot. It would be funny Bamas staff thin. Kirby snickering on the side lines.

Kirby seems more concerned about Bama than UGA if You ask me.
This all goes back the McGarity. He has mishandled everything concerned with the football program. I doubt he's given a minute's thought to His obligations to the players on roster right now. Hell, nobody seems concerned.

What time does the gala begin

To start with loyalty and appreciation for our seniors.
This weekend has been taken over by Kirby and for Kirby.

We were willing to let Miami's head coach attend the gala, out of loyalty and appreciation for our seniors. Did that get squashed or something? I might have missed that.

That was our Seniors' doing THEY invited him.
Kudos to Richt for making it, that is The good part of The Georgia Way since you asked.

It was done when Coach Richt came. He stayed at FSU to call that NC game. ADGM waSn't here then. I honestly can't remember how it went for Donnan. I know he coached the bowl, but I don't think we had Coach Richt yet.

Could have been worse I guess. Saban and Bama might not have let Kirby have permission to talk.

We seem to aims to please the wrong people.
I'm all for fairness but with Pruitt headed to Tuscaloosa McGarity needs to insist Kirby stays on in Athens.

I actually think he should have said no to the gala. He could have had them over to his house tomorrow or something. I just think that would have been the classy thing to do, but think he's liking sticking it to UGA. Probably was trying to force UGA to not invite him, make them look to be the bad guys. They didn't bite. But as Always said, UGA stuck with the seniors since this is a senior gala.

If you've never seen Sanford when recruits are visiting, I happen to catch it once from the new Tate Deck when there for another function. It's awesome. It's dark (they're in the suites) and the G is lit up. Way cool, imo.

Hands are probably tied about that somehow. At least we know WHO the new HC is. Years ago, it went to January and really affected recruiting. Of course, firings did too. And the "come now or don't come at all" is exactly why we didn't have Erk to succeed Dooley.

Our administration (or Kirby) could have put the kibosh on that. But they didn't. I guess I would have to say that the good parts and the bad parts of the Georgia Way are continuing just as they always have.

Did Kirby do something regarding this weekend that made it about him? I'm a little confused as to what you were saying earlier about him taking over the weekend.

I get what you're saying but honestly, I'm not really sure why anyone should give McGarity the benefit of the doubt on anything.

I will give KS the benefit of a doubt and assume that he has a master plan in place until I find out otherwise. As a season ticket holder since the mid 80's I will start raising hell if this one giant McGarity led cluster f*uck.

Since ADGM worked for AA back then, while trying to remember all the coaches since & how things were done, I happened to think about Erk situation & fiasco. It was for sure

a real fiasco in many ways. And Bama being Bama, just wouldn't doubt they don't have some iron clad clause. And would sue. Kirby personally. Of course Kirby's not going to say that publicly, neither would Saban. JMO.

You're probably right. The whole situation still chaps my ass but I'll get over it.

I disagree, I think Richt's motivation is being here for His seniors, I'm proud of him for coming. I think Kirby choose a bad night for his recruiting function THAT is all about self interest.
This night should have been all about the guys who have worked hard and contributed to the program over 4 or 5 years.
I don't want UGA to become like Bama in the worst ways. We can win without treating players like commodities.
